An excursion is a single day trip outside 100 miles from your starting location. Excursions generally take 10-12 hours in duration and up to 200-300 miles in a single day. As an example, L.A. to a Santa Barbara winery would be considered an excursion so long as it returns home the same day. Otherwise, this type trip would be considered Over-the-Road. VanGo has many local excursions to Wineries, Indian Casino's, Amusement Parks and Retreats. Please visit our extensive list of excursions in the Local Day Tours link under Tours menu link.
What you should know about Excursion services:
It is most important to recognize the travel time of your bus company to get to your pickup location, and once the trip is completed, back again to their terminal or yard. This (deadhead) travel time must always be considered in the legal driving limits of your driver. Generally speaking, if your Charter Carrier is many hours away from your pickup location it may be best to get a reference for a nearby carrier in order to save deadhead time and allow for your excursion to have more time available for the actual trip. Reputable carriers should always want to make this type of recommendation. Please go to the Home Page and click on bottom sliding bar (Always know Federal and State Rules-of-the-Road...).
